Hello!
My name is Chelsea Starr, and I am currently a junior here at Central, majoring in Sociology and minoring in Non-profit Organization Administration. As a Fellow in the Civic Engagement Center, it is my job to assist in and execute the coordination of events that enrich the student experience by providing awareness and promoting ways in which students can take action to become leaders in the community. One of the ways I am currently working towards that goal is through the quarterly open mic nights that will take place this fall. The first one was held last spring and emphasized awareness about food insecurity in Kittitas County. I am also developing a guide that will assist independent student event coordination on campus. I truly feel that the best way to take full advantage of your college career is through involvement and am proud to be a member of the amazing team that the C.E.C. offers.
